Mali ElephantProject MTR

UNDP – Mid-Term Review (MTR) for the UNDP-GEF Project titled “Communitybased natural resource management that resolves conflict, improves livelihoods, and restores ecosystems throughout the elephant range.”

The MTR sought to identify the necessary changes to be made in project implementation so as to set it ontrack to achieve results. The MTR applied gendersensitive methodologies and assessed early signs of project success, or failure, following the official UNDP and GEF methodologies for evaluations and reviews and evaluations. The “Mali Elephants Project” is part of the GEF Programmatic Approach to Prevent the Extinction of Known Threatened Species, under the GEF’s Program Global Partnership on Wildlife Conservation and Crime Prevention for Sustainable Development (GEF ID 9071), as proposed during the GEF6 funding cycle (also known as the “GEF-6 Illegal Wildlife Trade – IWT”). Reports were produced in English and French.
